The state government has so far vaccinated about 2300 people in health facilities using the Pfizer vaccine.
The rollout will begin for healthcare workers at the Launceston General Hospital and North West Regional Hospital from next week, Health Minister Sarah Courtney confirmed.

"This is a huge logistical exercise," she said.
"Not only will it be the state government and the federal government, we'll also be looking to GPs and pharmacists across the state to be able to facilitate this enormous challenge.
"It is an exciting time. I think Tasmanians - after what we have been through - are very relieved that we've got the vaccination here in Tasmania."
The Commonwealth is delivering the vaccine rollout in aged care facilities across the state at the same time.
