The team, who have played just two games, will head to Victoria on Saturday morning for the scheduled round five game before playing a make-up game on Monday.

It comes as the round two game was called off due to COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria, forcing teams to play make-up games later in the season.

The trip is one Devils' head coach Cameron Joyce said the side was looking forward to, with players generally scattered throughout the state.

'It's fantastic that we can make up one of the games that we've missed; the AFL has done a great job to reschedule that," Joyce said.

"It's a great opportunity to get together - we don't often spend a lot of time all together so we'll make the most of the opportunity."

It was a tough loss for the Devils against the Oakleigh Chargers at home, holding the undefeated side to just 36 points, ultimately losing by a goal.

Preparation for the two games is one captain Olivia Smith said had been no different to usual, encouraging her team to focus on their own brand of football.

"I think we that we need to play our game and nothing is going to change; to go out there and play the Devils brand of footy," Smith said.

"Of course it's in front of their home crowd, which is exciting and I know the girls will really take advantage of that but it's exciting.

"We're all confident, well quietly confident and just keen to go."

By Monday, the Devils will have played four of the season's eight games.

According to Smith, the team were looking at games in two-week blocks, hopeful to win at least one of the two games over the weekend.

"We want to win four games this season, so for this weekend we play Bendigo and Western Jets, so we'll want to win at least one and I think we can win both, to be honest," she said.

"That's how we look at it and I think the girls are just confident that we can do it because we've proven it last week that we are up to the standard of NAB League footy."

Twenty-seven of the squad's 39 players will make the trip to Victoria, with all expected to get game time in at least one game.

Steph Griffiths, Aspen Auton and Northern pair Camilla Taylor and Remi Smith will all be added to last weekend's team, with Shania Saward sidelined due to concussion protocols.

With the Devils ready to regain their winning momentum, Joyce believed the side was in a good position.

"I think the first two weeks, plus the pre-season game against Glenorchy, the girls would have got a lot of confidence and hopefully we're all starting to work out that if we play with that sort of intensity, we can get results," he said.

"If we bring that across four quarters, we're going to be competitive.

"But if we're a bit off and drop away, then anyone is going to beat us."
