Box Hill's Lachie Bramble was added to the Hawks' list via the pre-season supplemental selection period on Friday morning after impressing in recent trial matches.
Callow, who moved from North Launceston to SANFL side Norwood in the off-season, remains hopeful of securing an AFL contract after being invited alongside Bramble and Dandenong's Will Bravo to train with the Hawks in February.
Callow starred as a 17-year-old in the 2019 TSL grand final, kicking three goals in what was just his fourth game of senior football.
His 2020 campaign featured a handful of eye-catching performances, including several as a defender, but was ultimately hampered by an ankle injury that kept him out until the grand final.
The pre-season supplemental selection period ends on Tuesday.
