Emergency services were called to the corner of Holbrook and Forster streets about 9.40am after the truck rolled while attempting to turn.
In a statement, Tasmania Police said the driver - a 43-year-old Mowbray man - suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Launceston General Hospital.

"A white sewerage truck was turning right onto Holbrook Street from Forster Street when it rolled failing to successfully navigate the turn," the statement reads.
"Most of the sewerage that spilled onto the roadway was collected and transferred to another vehicle.
"Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing. At this stage no charges are being contemplated by police."
The truck rolled onto its passenger side.
Another sewerage truck was brought to the scene to transfer the rest of the substance for transporting.
The truck is likely to remain on its side for several hours before a crane can be used to bring it upright.
Traffic restrictions are expected in the area while the scene is cleared.
