A walker has been found in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park suffering hypothermia after activating her personal locator beacon on Monday evening.

A rescue party of police, SES and paramedics prepared to make the five to six-hour walk from 9.30pm after the beacon was detected from the Lees Paddocks area, south of Mersey Forest.
The weather was considered too poor to use the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Emergency services located the 40-year-old Queensland woman at 3.45am.
The rescue party waited with her and offered support until daylight arrived.
In a statement, Tasmania Police said the woman was uninjured but was suffering hypothermia.
She will be airlifted by helicopter to the Launceston General Hospital this morning.
