Four Tasmanians will be among the action on Saturday night as Launceston welcomes its first top-flight football in nearly a year.
Just days after UTAS Stadium was stripped of its AFL pre-season fixture between Hawthorn and North Melbourne, the Kangaroos and Carlton will do battle at the same venue for the chance to shoot in the AFLW's top six.
The Tasmania-affiliated Roos will field four homegrown players - Daria Bannister, Mia King, Nicole Bresnehan and Ellie Gavalas - after last week's debutant Brooke Brown was omitted for Sophie Abbatangelo.
Brown was one of three changes for the Roos, who recalled All-Australian defender Jess Duffin for her first game in 714 days following the birth of her daughter and an adductor injury.

Duffin also plays WBBL for Melbourne Renegades with Tasmanian cricket star Courtney Webb, who lined up alongside Bannister and King in Launceston's 2017 TSLW premiership.
"It's great to see Jess back playing football," North Melbourne's Nathan Hrovat said.
"She is very talented, and we are excited to have her back in the side this week."
North Melbourne have won their previous two fixtures at UTAS Stadium, defeating GWS by three goals in 2020 and Western Bulldogs by 31 points in 2019.
Saturday's clash will also pit Roos coach Darren Crocker and Blues coach Daniel Harford against each other for the first time since a North Melbourne-Hawthorn AFL fixture in 1998.
