The Evan Carydakis Quartet will entertain patrons with an hour of jazz, featuring original material from The Point Within A Circle - a project supported by Arts Tasmania.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Acclaimed saxophonist Carydakis will be joined by Brendon Siemsen on guitar, Ben Brinkhoff on bass, and Andrew Dennis on drums to share jazz music with the community for free.
"It's important to get people out and about again, and attending live events in a COVID world," Carydakis said.
"Getting people used to coming back out again, getting used to live events, and trusting the COVID safe systems we have out there."
The saxophonist said the music has an R and B back beat to it that people could groove along to.
"[The music] is more in a pop style than a jazz style but obviously has strong elements of jazz to it," he said.
The concert will be held March 20 at 1.30pm.
