The forum, now in its fourth year, will celebrate the power of women in their workplaces - just in time for International Women's Day on March 8.
One of the speakers will be Rose Lindner who is based at Ulverstone as an environmental consultant with pitt&sherry.
IN OTHER NEWS:
She has a Bachelor of Science with a double major in geology and environmental science.
Ms Lindner said she had been a member of the union since she started working full time at 18-years-old.
"I believe in a community of workers who look after each other," she said.
She said the upcoming forum she was speaking at was especially important for student-aged women looking at going into traditionally male dominated industries and sectors.
"I think it's crucial," Ms Lindner said.
"It is so important to inspire young women that they can do whatever they want.
"It's new to women to be able to do these roles and take on these apprenticeships."
The environmental consultant said she hoped to show women what they could achieve, while being transparent about some of the hurdles they would face.
"Transparency about what they are getting themselves into is such a crucial aspect," she said.
"For me, it's so important that these young women understand they have so many opportunities and they should grab them with two hands, but not to go in blind."
Ms Lindner said she was looking forward to hearing other women speak about similar journeys.
Other speakers at the event include Northern Midlands Council mayor Mary Knowles OAM, first female president of the Culinary Association of Australia and female chef Karen Doyle, Australian Local Government Women's Association Tasmania Branch's treasurer Debra Thurley, and The Examiner editor Courtney Greisbach.
The forum, to be held on March 10 at the Country Club Tasmania, is only one part of the event.
A second function, a dinner for school students and community leaders, will be held on March 12.
