The possibility of Tasmania getting its own Super Netball team has some of the state's most prominent players excited for the sport's future.

The application would come at the end of a three-year agreement with Super Netball side the Collingwood Magpies.
One such player to give the news the tick of approval was Cavaliers captain Shelby Miller.
"I think it was really well received by everyone in the netball community," she said.
"There can only be positive things to come out of it and it's a great initiative by Netball Tasmania to make the leap and show what they're striving for."
The Cavs centre has played games with the Magpies' Australian Netball League side, along with fellow Cavalier Zoe Claridge and Northern Hawks captain Danni Pickett.
Miller also played in the former ANL side the Tasmania Spirit, who were dissolved in 2015.

Pickett said the partnership with Collingwood has exposed younger netballers to elite-level netball, as well as top-level facilities and coaching.
The Hawks attacker said having access to the highest tier of competition in-state would be great for young, aspiring talent.
"We currently don't have any home-grown talent playing at that [SSN] level," she said.
"However it unfolds over the next few years, hopefully we do get some girls playing at that level in a training partnership.
"With our partnership with Collingwood over the last few years, we've been able to implement that pathway as such but having our own team is just going to make that a lot closer to home."
