Sunday marks the Fashions on the Field event, where some of the state's finest fashionistas will be strutting their stuff on stage at the Fashions for Fillies event.
Fashions on the Field organiser Sue Rees said she wanted to see more male entries for the event.
"There's a misconception that Fashions on the Field is just for women, but there's a men's category as well," Ms Rees said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The event is normally held concurrently with the Launceston Cup but has been moved to a separate time to ensure it remains COVID safe.
"We need to have people's details beforehand for our COVID plan," Ms Rees said.
"We're keeping entries open throughout Thursday - we aren't able to accept last-minute entrants this year unfortunately."
Entries can be made by contacting Ms Rees on 0419 897 673.
While there isn't a specific millinery competition this year, milliner Haidee Neill opened a pop-up shop on St John Street to service cup goers.
"It really looks good when you can do a colour three ways - hat, bag and shoe," Ms Neill said.
"Headbands have been really popular this year - a good accessory can just really make an outfit."
Tickets are selling fast for all cup events - Tasmanian Turf Club chief executive Natalie Waters said it's important people purchase online at goracingtasmania.com.au to avoid missing out.
"We've been approved as a level three event via the COVID framework, meaning we can have up to 10,000 people on the day," Ms Waters said.
"We're really happy with how ticket sales are going - everyone needs a ticket with a QR code for contact tracing to come into the cup this year."
Ms Waters said there was a lineup of local entertainment to delight the crowds, with enough seating for everyone on the day.
"It's going to be a really great day," she said.
"It's time for people to get out of their pyjamas and into their finest - we're out of lockdown, let's get out and enjoy it while we can, and celebrate this 157-year tradition."
