Association president Scott Rigby expects the fixture to be released "in the next week or so", with matches played in different timeslots foreshadowed.

"We are looking at night games, a lot of the clubs have had good infrastructure put into place so they can now play night games because of their lights," he said.

"There's been a lot of clubroom and changeroom investment in certain areas with more to come which is really pleasing to see.

"We are just waiting on clubs to get back to us for special games, some of which have already been hooked up."

Scottsdale, Old Launcestonians and Rocherlea are among a handful of sides to have previously hosted under-light contests with Bridgenorth, George Town and new women's entrants, Launceston, potentially to be added this season.

"It's looking at differential and thinking outside the box, a lot of the clubs did play standalone Friday night women's games last year and they were really successful," Rigby said.

"That's where clubs have been really proactive in their space and what actually works for them.

"The three or four games on a Saturday is fantastic but sometimes it might not work for them."

In October, it was announced that the 2021 men's season would kick off on April 10 with grand finals to be played on September 4 (women's and division one) and September 11 (premier division).

Rigby confirmed the women's competition will start weeks later than the men, with each of the 12 sides playing each other once.
