An ambulance helicopter has been dispatched to the scene of a motorbike crash on the Lyell Highway this afternoon.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said the male rider is reported to have non-life threatening injuries.
Emergency services have remained at the scene.
EARLIER:
Tasmania Police are travelling to the scene of a serious crash on the Lyell Highway.
The driver of the motorcycle crashed about eight kilometres south of Derwent Bridge this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Tasmania Police asked motorists travelling in the area to avoid the scene or expect delays while emergency services clear the site.

The spokesperson said the cause of the crash is unknown at this stage, but is being investigated.
