Henty House is now home to the university's Northern-based business programs, accommodating physical distancing requirements to enable face-to-face teaching to safely resume.
Senior lecturer in Economics Dr Maria Yanotti said the move from Macquarie House to nearby Henty was an exciting development for the University and wider community.
"This new, flexible co-working environment has been purposely designed to reflect the function and feel of a real workplace, providing our students with an experience that prepares them for future employment," she said.
"After a year of online learning we are very excited to be welcoming our students back to a new campus, with peer-to-peer connections and face-to-face engagement all part of a vibrant higher education experience."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The move was marked with an open day event on Sunday in Launceston, coinciding with World Street Eats.
"Our school is always very keen to engage and partner with local organisations, and co-hosting this event is a great example of entrepreneurship and business development for our students," Dr Yanotti said.
TSBE Executive Dean Associate Professor Stuart Crispin said continuing to educate and engage students in Launceston's business district would have far-reaching benefits, including experiencing the challenges and opportunities of local businesses first-hand to help build capacity.
