The head of the Tasmanian Tourism Industry Council is angry at the latest hotel quarantine outbreak in Melbourne and the ramifications for tourists.
Mr Martin wants an end to hotel quarantine in central business districts for international arrivals.
"It's extraordinary, we've had problems in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and now Melbourne again," he said.
"The risks are too profound.
"This will cost millions of dollars and jobs here because of cancelled travel plans.
"Tourism operators won't be able to resell in the next five days and will have to pay out on cancelled travel."

Mr Martin wants governments to look at alternatives to hotel quarantine in capital cities.
"The boffins are saying hotel quarantine is very effective but you ask the Tasmanian operators paying out for cancellations how effective hotel quarantine in the CBD is.
"Who knows if the Victorian lockdown will be for five days or longer?
"I can't believe as a country we are tolerating this, surely there is an alternative such as Christmas Island.
"It is an extraordinary cost and it is happening time and time again.
"You can understanding it happening once but this is time and time again.
Premier Peter Gutwein commiserated at the loss of Victorian travellers but said a lockdown of Tasmania would have a greater impact.
"So bear with us, I know this will be difficult but we will work through this as quickly as we can and hopefullyu return to normal," he said.
Mr Gutwein said international quarantine was a matter for other states but that opening satellite centres outside cities was "challenging".
He also said Tullamarine Airport would not be closed to Tasmania.
"At this stage, Tullamarine will not be closed off to Tasmania, given its significance as a transport hub, but we will continue to monitor Public Health advice," he said.
