
The Evandale Panthers found themselves on the better end of an upset against Trevallyn on Wednesday.
Second-placed Trevallyn kept the Panthers to a total of 6-110 after 20 overs.
The latter was led by the batting of Kaye Buchanan (23 runs), Sophia Smith (19) as well as a solid opening stand from Katie Broad (10) and Tayla Buchanan (10).
Smith and Tayla Buchanan then took charge with the ball for Evandale, taking 3-20 in three overs and 2-12 in three respectively.
Despite decent scores from Maxine Woods (21) and Tracey Miller (20), Trevallyn was all out for 104, losing by six runs. Last-placed Legana lost a close contest with second-last Hadspen by five runs at Legana.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
Chieftain Kate Dobber opened up strongly for her side, belting 38 off 35. A 15-run effort from number seven Chloe Mason padded the team to a 107-run total.
It was another top match from Legana all-round Elyse Page on both sides, finishing with 2-4 in two as well as 22 runs.
Despite this, her side couldn't reach Hadspen's total.
The day's final match saw third-placed Bracknell wallop fourth-placed ACL by 35 runs.
Bracknell's top order of Natalie Curbishley and Amy Buettel belted 20 each, with number three Cassie Walker scoring 27 off 16.
The rest of the team's batting order also played well in posting a tough total, one ACL failed to chase.
