A GoFundMe appeal for Greg Longmore, his wife Erin and their two young children, has already raised more than $16,000.
The 36-year-old received burns to 50 per cent of his body after a fire broke out at Adams Distillery about 10.30am on Tuesday.
The fire, deemed accidental, was caused during the gin distilling process and resulted in more than $1.5 million damages to the shed.
Greg, who was working in the distillery when the fire broke out, was treated at the scene and then airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Greg's sister Samantha Walmsley, who is based in Victoria, said she was notified by phone of the accident by their parents - who are also interstate.

"My mother and father rang me and asked if I had heard anything from Tasmania," she said.
"Erin had called to tell them what had happened. She went to Hobart yesterday, just after the accident happened.
"She actually got to see him last night."
Feeling helpless, Ms Walmsley said she launched the GoFundMe to help the family in their long road to recovery.
"Obviously because of COVID, there is a lot of restrictions where we can't travel as much as we would like to," she said.
"I thought if I could do my little bit, just to try and help them out. And it's just gone off the rocket.
"He [Greg] is just the most outgoing, witty, funny person that you could probably ever know. He loves his golf.
"Obviously it is still early days. Each day ... we will just take it day by day."
Well wishes for Greg were shared all over social media on Wednesday.
Kel Clark, of Longford Golf Course, took to the group's Facebook page to honour the "top golfer".
"He has suffered sever burns to 40 per cent of his body including face, hands and he is in an induced coma in the ICU in Hobart as they are monitoring his lungs as well," he wrote.
"He will require some considerable time in hospital and several operations."
