The Mowbray Golf Club-based tournament was able to get through a bevy of golfing talent before heavy rains set in that afternoon.
A somewhat uneven round from Walker was good enough to see him shoot one over par at 72.
Day two's winner, Prospect Vale's Robbie Berne followed him with a streak of bogeys on holes five, six and seven getting him to 75.
UTAS STADIUM UPGRADES:
A double-bogey on the sixth saw Mowbray's Michael Leedham take a dip in the standings from second to fifth overall.
Walker and Berne tied for first, but a sudden death round on the first saw the former shoot par and win.
Mowbray's Terence Clark took the top in the veteran's class, shooting an impressive five-under on day three finishing with 211 overall.
Another Mowbray member Murray Lethborg finished atop the super veteran's ladder with 220.
