After receiving a record-breaking 640 entries, judges for the Glover Prize have announced 42 finalists for the prestigious award.

The finalists represent the judges; selection of the best artwork representing the Tasmanian landwork.
Entries were received from every Australian state and territory, as well as pieces from across the world - including the UK, Romania, Iran and New Zealand.
Of the final 42, 18 are from Tasmanian artists, 23 from the mainland, and one from France.
Of those represented, 23 have never had work presented as part of a Glover Prize exhibition.
The winner of the Glover Prize receives $50,000 and a bronze maquette of colonial artist John Glover.
The winner will be selected on Friday March 5, with the 2021 Glover Prize exhibition being held at Falls Park Pavilion at Evandale between March 6 and 14 - where visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite to decide People's Choice and Children's Choice award winners.
