Adam Griffith is the right man to lead Hobart Hurricanes to their maiden BBL title, says Cricket Tasmania boss Dominic Baker.

A star-studded squad featuring Dawid Malan, Ben McDermott and D'Arcy Short failed to reach the finals of this year's competition despite a 5-2 start that had Griffith's side pushing for top of the table.
Baker said 42-year-old Griffith, who is contracted for next season, would spend another season developing his craft in the Indian Premier League before returning to coach the Hurricanes in BBL11.
"There's no one more determined to win Tasmania's first T20 trophy than Adam Griffith and I think that's reflected right across our organisation as well," Baker said.
"We've just got to hit on the right formula.
'We've had some great lists over the time and to be frank, I thought we probably had our best list this season and we haven't quite cracked it.
"We'll go back and have a look at what we could have done better and ensure that we learn from that."
The Hurricanes came under fire over the course of BBL10, with several big-name recruits failing to fire in a season that ended with a lacklustre defeat to wooden spooners Melbourne Renegades.
Baker put external criticism of the team and its coaching staff into context.
"He's had a really busy year and there's plenty of stuff going on in Adam's private life as well - exciting stuff - but also he's got to manage all that along with being in quarantine more than any person I know," Baker said.
"Obviously he and the organisation are quite flat the week following missing out on the finals when we had such high hopes with a fantastic list.
"But that's professional sport, we've got to pick our bags back up and get moving.
"We'll be ensuring our people get a good rest and we'll be managing Adam's, our coaches and all our staff's workload to ensure they can give their very best."
The Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars share the unwanted record of being the only two sides yet to lift the trophy despite playing in five of the past seven finals between them.
