Tasmania is set to host a national championships once again, with rowing bringing their titles to the Apple Isle as originally planned.

It was confirmed on Monday that Lake Barrington will host the national titles from March 22 to 28, with entries already open and tickets set for sale on Wednesday.
Rowing Australia chief executive Ian Robson, who was born in Tasmania, announced the good news.
"As I said last month, the RA Board are committed to hosting a safe national championships," Robson said.

"We know that our community has been eagerly awaiting domestic competition and with the COVID-19 travel restrictions easing across the country, we are doing everything we can to make this the best possible event.
"We will continue to be guided by the state and federal health department advice and will monitor the situation regularly to ensure we are able to run the event in accordance with Tasmanian Health's requirements and our COVID-safe event plan."
Lake Barrington was also set to host the Australian Masters event in May 2020 but was denied the opportunity due to COVID-19.
