Two-time defending champions before the eight-wicket loss, the Shamrocks were dismissed for 97 after an uncharacteristic collapse resulted in the last eight wickets falling for 22 runs.
Murfet said his side would learn from the loss before resuming its pursuit of the Cricket North title.
"It's probably the worst performance we've had all year and that's ok - we've just got to make sure nothing like that ever happens again," Murfet said.
"We've just got to ensure that's a learning point and a pivotal part of our season because you can use defeats like that to create a lot of learning and a lot of positives.
"Sometimes when you have losses like that you sit in the rooms after the game and it's a case of do you put that in the back of you mind and try and forget about it? But it wasn't one of those losses, it was a loss where we make sure we know that's happened and that we learn from it."
The Shamrocks will get the chance to find their usual form in a two-dayer at Mowbray starting this weekend.
Jordan French will play as a batsman after featuring mainly as a spinner in the T20 cup.
"We've got a chance to try and rectify what we did on Sunday straight away this week and next week," Murfet said.
"With cricket quite often it's overcomplicated, but two-day cricket is a great chance to simplify things."
Mowbray enters the match in a similar position having also been on the wrong end of a Launceston thumping last time out.
James Storay's Eagles had the Lions 5-62 early on day one but lost every session thereafter to concede an outright result.
"Last week and probably for parts of the week before I was really disappointed in how we went about it and how we turned up to play wasn't in line with the standards that we're asking from blokes," Storay said.
"To spend the whole day in the field is a bit of a daunting task for young kids to get a grasp of because it is pretty draining to be honest, but that's part and parcel of it.
"These kids are going to learn a fair bit about themselves as cricketers over the next 8-12 weeks as we play two-day cricket because it is in my opinion the best format, but it's also the toughest by a fair way."
Mowbray will make three changes with Spencer Hayes, Ben Spinks (both Raiders) and Will Dakin (school cricket) unavailable.
Blake Cassidy will return, Cobey Evans could play his first A-grade game in two years and Joel Proctor is back after taking his first A-grade wicket against the Lions.
"He [Proctor] just bowls a nice tight line and is quite a big lad - he's a fair bit taller than me - but just bowls on the same spot and is keen to learn," Storay said.
MORE CRICKET: Paine criticism 'wide of the mark'
RIVERSIDE is out to bounce back from two convincing losses, but will have to do so against table-topper Launceston.
"We've had a tough couple of weeks and played a couple of very good sides - one showed us how to bowl with the ball and one showed us how to bat," Riverside skipper Tom Garwood said.
"We'll takes some learning out of both those games and take on how Westbury bowled in the semi-final and how Nathan [Philip] and Sean [Harris] batted last week as well."
The Blues will make three changes with several young guns set to win a call-up.
"It's going to be tough and Launceston are probably the side to beat, but we'll back our players in," Garwood said.
"We're looking forward to it, it's a challenge and we'll be putting it on our senior group to really step up."
Fresh from Sunday's cup final win, Launceston is out to double down for the rest of the season.
Alistair Taylor said his side was still reflecting on what the victory meant.
"It obviously means a lot for the club - they're not easy to win Greater Northern Cups and it's been 10 years for us so we'll probably reflect on it a bit [at training on Thursday] and then move on quickly," the keeper-batsman said.
"That's what we said to the boys even straight after Sunday - it's awesome to win, but we've got to refocus, regroup, have a solid hit-out and focus back on the red-ball stuff."
