Two Northern-based public servants have been stood down from work pending an investigation into alleged sexual abuse. The complaints have been referred to Tasmania Police for assessment. A state government spokesperson said the actions taken were not an indication of wrongdoing. A second Northern state service employee was stood down from work on December 10 due to an sexual abuse allegation. A third public servant, again from the North, was stood down while an allegation of sexual misconduct was investigated on December 14. A fourth Northern public servant was stood down two days later pending an investigation into an allegation of potential sexual abuse. A fifth Northern public servant was stood down from work on December 23 for alleged sexual misconduct. A sixth state service employee, this time from southern Tasmania, was stood down from work on January 6 pending an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct.
