Tasmania Police are investigating after a deliberately lit fire destroyed a unit at Rutherglen Road, Hadspen on Saturday night.

The Tasmanian Fire Service was called to the blaze about 5am Saturday morning after receiving a triple zero call.
When crews arrived the unit was engulfed in flames. The blaze took about 40 minutes to control with no damage to other properties.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A TFS investigation after the blaze was put out concluded that the fire was deliberately lit.
Launceston CIB will now investigate the fire which caused about $300,000 in damage to the unit.
No one was in the house at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.
