Mona Foma ticketholders will be able to let loose and shake their groove at the highly-anticipated MoFo Sessions at Royal Park.
The event, to be held across three nights, will feature Luca Brasi, The Broken Girls Club, Too Many Jasons, The Native Cats, Zac Henderson, It Thing, Evan Carydakis Quartet, Dinette & Confetti, Glenn Richards, Mainlanders, True Champions of Breakfast and All The Weathers.
Broken Girls Club singer Rosie Cann said during their performance on Friday night they would stage a few new songs and several from their upcoming EP.
"We call our music sad-girl pop rock," she said.
"We are really excited, we feel really lucky. And I feel like the blue sky is gradually arriving so I hope that will stay.
"We've done a couple of shows since lockdown loosened a little but in particular having people be able to dance is huge."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The group was previously part of the Mona's 42 Day Music Marathon in 2020.
"We had an amazing time so we were hoping to be included in Mona Foma. That was our introduction into the Mona world," Cann said.
The singer said Mona Foma had been easy to work with and the opportunity was a great wat to get to know local talent.
To date, this would be the biggest gig for the band.
"It definitely puts us in front of people we might not come across in our usual pub circuit which is awesome in terms of seeing if people are interested, and it also gives us a big vote of confidence as performers."
The event is $30/$25 a night plus a booking fee. Those under 12 are $15 a night plus a booking fee and anyone under two is free but a ticket still needs to be booked.
There will be live music, food trucks, and bars, with seating on the bleachers or the big yellow mats on the ground.
