Greater Northern Raiders import Brayden Stepien has won a recall to the Melbourne Renegades squad after stellar form in the Victorian Premier Cricket league.

The left-hander has made scores of 50, 157 not out, 88 and 68 since returning to Carlton and joins the Renegades squad as a replacement for ex-Hurricane Cameron Boyce (health condition) as the side struggles to find a way off the bottom of the BBL ladder.
The 23-year-old keeper-batsman played two matches with the Renegades last season but was not required to bat in either.

A high-profile recruit alongside former Tasmania all-rounder Evan Gulbis at the start of the season, Stepien smashed 260 runs in three knocks for the Raiders, including a 158-ball 223 against South Hobart-Sandy Bay at the NTCA Ground.
The knock came as part of of a 368-run stand with Gulbis and has Stepien sitting narrowly ahead of Sam O'Mahony (259 runs) in the club's 2020-21 batting charts.
