A super over was required on the first day of Cricket North's T20 cup after a dramatic finish saw the Lions finish level with Westbury after 20 overs.
Making 10 off their super over with Alistair Taylor leading the way, the Lions then ended the game two balls into Westbury's second knock as Ben Humphrey dismissed Chathura Athukorala and Jesse Digney in consecutive balls.
Earlier, Taylor had cut a disappointed figure when his side narrowly missed timing the chase to perfection.
Set 6-115 after Dan Murfet (29) and Joel Lloyd (31) propped up Westbury's innings, Launceston had the vuvuzelas on the NTCA No.1 hill trumpeting when Dilan Sandagirigoda (19) whacked three consecutive four off John Kedey.
The big-hitting opener departed soon after but Taylor took up the strain, dispatching Jordan French into the stands twice on his way to 63 not out.
Liam Ryan took a sharp return catch to remove Tom Beaumont and with nine needed off the final over, James Lee lost his stumps before Taylor found the rope.
Daniel Smith survived three run-out attempts in as many deliveries as Taylor scampered through for a single off the last ball to tie the scores.

MOWBRAY V RIVERSIDE
The finish was equally as tense next door where Matthew Kerrison piloted RIVERSIDE to a tense six-wicket win over Mowbray.
Aaron Hughes' 43 not out in 5-119 looked like being the deciding knock when the Blues reached 14 overs with just 2-74 on the board.
But Kerrison kept his cool even as Ben Spinks picked up two 19th over scalps, scooping Eagles skipper James Storay for four to reduce the last-over victory equation to four runs off four balls.
With two still needed off the last two balls, Kerrison managed to reach 50 and win the game as a skied chance was put down at deep extra cover.
SOUTH LAUNCESTON V MOWBRAY
Earlier, the Eagles got their day off to an ideal start with a team effort translating to a 13-run win over South Launceston.
Luke Scott (41), Hughes (33) and Sam Freeman (22*) all chipped in for 5-130 with Alex Licht (2-22) the Knights' best quick.
James Storay (2-14 off four) helped reduce the Knights to 4-39 before captain Sean Harris arrived to stem the tide with a game-high 56 not out.
South finished 7-117 with Angus Foster making a handy 20.

RIVERSIDE V LAUNCESTON
Launceston easily accounted for Riverside in the grand final rematch.
The Lions made 4-139 off their 20 as Humphrey (40* off 26), Taylor (25), Sandagirigoda (26) and Rowan Smith (28) all fired in the top four.
Kerrison and Tom Garwood (34) put on an ominous stand in reply before the wheels fell off as Tom Beaumont (3-6 off three) strangled the Blues middle order.
Sandagirigoda (2-10 off four) also proved handy with the ball as the Blues finished 8-92.
WESTBURY V SOUTH LAUNCESTON
A 63-run opening stand helped South sentence Westbury to a winless day with a seven-wicket victory in the evening game.
Graham Donaldson, Charlie Skipper, Licht and Sam McLean all took two wickets in Westbury's 9-101 as the Shamrocks struggled to put a partnership together.
Knights openers Martin Potsekayi (37) and Jeremy Jackson (23) got off to a flier - the former hitting three consecutive fours in the opening over - as Ishang Shah and Tom Waller iced a seven-wicket victory with three overs to spare.
