The Roos opted to relocate Clarence's Nicole Bresnehan and Launceston trio Daria Bannister, Mia King and Brooke Brown to Melbourne for pre-season training ahead of the club's third campaign starting on January 28.
Until this year, North's Tasmanian-based players had trained together in their home state before joining up with the full squad for matches.
Crocker said while the move had initially raised eyebrows, his Tasmanian players had grown to love being around teammates.

"We're really keen to have a full-squad mentality, especially with the season building out a bit (to nine home and away rounds), so it's going to be really important to rely on all 30 girls," Crocker told the Women's AFL website.
"I've been catching up with them individually over the last few weeks, and there was a bit of apprehension and tension from the Tassie girls initially.
"But now they're up here, they can't believe it's taken them this long to get here.
"I'm pleased, because a few of the meetings in 2020 where the girls were zooming in from Tassie, it was pretty difficult.
"They weren't getting the actual education and individual development they needed to grow their games, which they're hopefully getting now."
The Roos will have six Tasmanians on their list for the 2021 season, with Britt Gibson and Ellie Gavalas having relocated to the mainland several years ago.
Launceston ruck Abbey Green (traded to Collingwood) and Emma Humphries, Chloe Haines and Libby Haines (delisted) all departed in the off-season with TSLW premiership player Brown arriving in the draft.
Crocker said the former Launceston Tornadoes basketballer was one of a number of versatile forwards selected by the Roos in picked up in October's national draft.
"Brooke Brown can play ruck, down back or forward, so we didn't actually see it as just going for forwards," he said.
