The Branxholm community has rallied around a shop owner after their custom-made sign was stolen just after Christmas. On December 28, Tin Timbers café owner Angelina Hemphill went to put her sign on the road, just like she has done for the past three years, to find the sign was missing. IN OTHER NEWS: "I looked around thinking some young kid had maybe picked it up and thrown it. So I looked on the main road, I looked over at the caravan park and I couldn't find anything so then I knew that someone had stolen it," she said. The sign was custom made by a sign writer and Mrs Hemphill said they returned from holidays to make a replacement after hearing it had been stolen. She said the community also rallied around the store with customers bringing in donations to help pay for the new sign. "I know the community do come together when they need it but, I didn't think over a sign. I was just absolutely bought down to tears," Mrs Hemphill said. Sign up to one of our newsletters:
