Boxing Day is one of the busiest days of the year for retail stores that are willing to tackle the crowds, with the allure of sales catching many eyes, and wallets.
Due to COVID-19, businesses were still keeping an eye on numbers inside their stores but that did not stop Brisbane Street Mall filling with people by 10.30am on Saturday morning.
EB Games Australia manager for the Brisbane Street branch, Alex Broxton, said the store had been busy all year, with Boxing Day just another busy day.
"It is flat out all day from start to finish," he said.
He said the branch would see hundreds of people over the course of the day, with more people buying in store than online due to receiving Christmas cash.

Clothing was also a popular choice with mother and daughter duo Heather and Charlotte Marsden, of Summerhill, picking up some bargains.
Ms Marsden said she and Charlotte would go to the sales every year.
"It was mainly clothing [purchases] today."
