Another public servant from the North of the state has been stood down, pending an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct, while a former state service employee from the same part of Tasmania is also facing a similar allegation.

It's unclear which agencies the individuals worked in.
A state government spokesperson said the allegations had been referred to Tasmania Police for assessment.

"Principles of natural justice and other legal considerations demand that further comment is not made whilst the investigations are underway," the spokesperson said.
"We also need to make sure that we fulfill our duty of care to our employees and do not prejudice investigations.
"It is important to note that being stood down is not an indication of wrongdoing. The presumption of innocence until proven guilty must be upheld."
