Manly is no stranger to the series, having taken out the women's Latrobe Wheel in 2018, while British-born Richardson will be making his debut.

They will both be lining up at Hobart on December 27, Launceston on the 28^th, George Town on the 30^th and Burnie on New Year's Eve.

Commonwealth Games champion Manly said she was keen to return for the first time in two years.

"I have very fond memories over the years racing the Tassie carnivals," the 24-year-old said.

"They were the first interstate track races I ever did and my love for the sport grew from there.

"I've developed close bonds with the Tassie riders over the years and it feels like a second home over there,"

Fresh from winning the Australian sprint championship title on the weekend, Richardson is looking forward to making his debut in the iconic series this Sunday in Hobart.

"This will be my first time racing the Tassie carnivals so I'm really excited to experience the racing and see what it's all about - I am looking forward to some hard, fast paced races," he said.

"I just love racing my bike so any opportunity I get to do that gets me excited and this will be no exception,"

Now a member of the Australian sprint team that came third at last years World Championships in Berlin, Richardson said he had huge goals for 2021.

"My goals for 2021 are to prepare for the Olympics as best I can, so that means staying injury free and training constantly," he said.

"At the games we are striving to medal in the team sprint."

The former gymnast was also philosophical about the postponement of the biggest show on earth this year.

"For me personally, the Olympics getting postponed was a little bit of a blessing in disguise," he said.

"As a member of the men's team sprint team, we really needed more time to race as a team and gain some confidence in our line-up."
