A capacity of 6864 people will be allowed into the venue as the Hobart Hurricanes face the Adelaide Strikers on Tuesday and Perth Scorchers play Melbourne Stars the following day.
As the matches fill the hunger of sports-starved fans in the North, City of Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten described the two matches as exciting for the region.

"This will be the first time we've hosted a major sporting event at the stadium since the pre-season AFL game between Hawthorn and Melbourne back in February," he said.
"The stadium and the playing surface are both in absolutely pristine condition so we're all looking forward to showcasing the tremendous job our ground staff have done preparing for these back-to-back BBL games."
Attending the matches will still be restricted despite recent easing with seating zones in place.
"For example, people will have to enter a specific gate according to where they're sitting, plus people won't be allowed to move between the various zones throughout the evening but I do know the staff at the ground is mindful of these restrictions and have planned accordingly," van Zetten said.
