"We're pretty chuffed that we've won this award because we didn't enter it, didn't ask for it - it's purely thanks to our customers," Mr Poulton said.
"Customers by themselves have taken the time to go onto the Product Review website and rate their experience.
"It's wonderful acknowledgement from our clients, simply because we're just doing our job.
"Damian started this business 12 years ago with one or two employees, and now we have 27, most in Launceston. We're very big on being local."
Launtel was the first internet service provider in Australia to provide gigabit speeds to NBN customers.

Launtel founder Damian Ivereigh started the business after experiencing his own frustrations with service providers, and said he was proud that the business was known for its customer service.
"We're proudly flying the Tasmanian flag of innovation across the country, there's no better award to win than the one voted by our very own customers," Mr Ivereigh said.
The award was shared with another Tasmanian internet service provider, Mint Telecom.
