Launceston cyclist Nicole Frain leading National Road Series tour

Launceston's Nicole Frain is leading the National Road Series Tweed Tour in NSW.
Frain won the day-two criterium in Murwillumbah by three seconds from Danielle De Francesco to take the race leadership.
And a sixth-place finish on the 86.6-kilometre stage three to Tyalgum, two seconds behind winner and former TIS Racing teammate Ruby Roseman-Gannon, was enough to retain the leader's jersey on Monday.

In July, the 27-year-old Hobart-based Sydney Uni Staminade Women's Cycling Team member became the Zwift National Road Series champion, finishing second in the final round to secure the title by 13 seconds.
Launceston's Lauren Perry and Devonport's Anya Louw are also among the Tasmanians competing in the nine-day Tweed Tour.
Legana's Zack Gilmore helped his ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast teammate Cameron Scott claim the third stage win. Hobart's Ben Van Dam was ninth.
