A 13-year-old teenager has been taken to the Launceston General Hospital after a mountain bike crash.

The teenager, from Port Macquarie in New South Wales crashed while negotiating a jump at the Mack 10 mountain bike trail at the St Helens Mountain Bike Trail.
The child did not sustain life threatening injuries but due to the injuries he did sustain, he was required to be winched from the trail by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Both the child and his father were transported to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment. Emergency services attended the incident.
