A motorbike crash in the state's south Sunday morning has left a man dead.

Tasmania Police and emergency services attended the crash on Augusta Road, Lenah Valley at 6am where the 26-year-old rider from Glenorchy had tragically died.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined but investigators were in the process of doing so.

Police asked anyone who may have seen a black, white and red motorbike travelling in Hobart, North Hobart and Lenah Valley early Sunday morning to contact Crash Investigation Services on 131 444.
