Race director Diane Webb said the triathlon has regularly been a great event for triathlon newcomers and returners.
"We've had to delay this year's race because of COVID ... but now we're really keen to see the event hit the road," she said.
"It's an amazing opportunity for women looking to get involved in triathlons, or to reengage with them.
"It's a really supportive, encouraging environment ... everyone has a smile on their face."
Elsewhere in sport:
The triathlon consists of a 200m swim, 10km bike ride and 2km run.
Webb said the event's designed to coincide with other triathlon club events across the state.
"It's a good place to have a go ... you can just do two-legs of the race if you want," she said.

"The main thing is participation, and with COVID this year it's an opportunity to just get out, active and have fun.
"It's also a nice lead-in should they want to continue for the rest of the season."
Webb added the triathlon is designed for people of all abilities, with Beauty Point providing a safe and shallow area for people to race.
"It's a brilliant location for first-timers," Webb said.
