Clarence finished their batting on a high note thanks to an enduring performance by Justin Galeotti, who managed to notch a century after facing a tremendous 319 balls. James Beattie would be the highlight of the Raiders' constrictive bowling, finishing 3-41.
The start of the second innings did not go the Raiders way, with Burnie batsman Brodie Hayes being quickly caught for a duck.
Oliver Wood (24), Will Bennett (12), Evan Gulbis (14) and James Simpson (12) followed suit, with Clarence bowler Isaac Salter (6-37) orchestrating unrelenting aggression against sluggish Raiders batting.
Raiders coach Tim Coyle said the failure to gain batting traction ultimately doomed the boys in orange.
"We needed someone to get a good partnership going ... but we just kept losing wickets consistently and in the end it was too much," he said.
"We just lacked that one player to make a statement and get a big score; [it] didn't happen.
"We'll learn from that, we played two days of tough cricket so we'll continue to learn - that's the main thing."
In other news:
The Raiders were able to stop the bleeding, with Miles Barnard (27) and Sam Elliston-Buckley (46) developing a tempering partnership to chip away at Clarence's total.
"He [Elliston-Buckley] played a nice innings, would have been nice to see him get a 50," Coyle said.
"He deserved it, he played well, he back himself which he does well. There's a lot to like about him ... he had a good game.
"If he and Barnard had kept their partnership going for another hour or so we might've had a chance, but it didn't happen."
Clarence keeper Michael Jones eventually caught Barnard and send him packing, then the onslaught continued.
Raider batters Cooper Anthes (1) and Sam O'Mahony (4) fell soon after as Salter continued to collect scalps.
A final duck for Beattie was all she wrote for the Raiders, who lost to Clarence by 90 runs in half the overs.
The match was Gulbis' last for the season, as he re-joins former Raider Brayden Stepien for club cricket in Victoria.
The Premier League will go back to T20 format next week, with the Raiders facing a double-header against Kingborough and University of Tasmania respectively at Kingston on Saturday.
