The Launceston Lightning women's finished the season on a high note, taking down a Penguin Blues team that had only one loss to its name beforehand. A top performance by Tornadoes Micah Simpson (19 pts), Olivia Chugg (13 pts) and Aishah Anis (20 pts) lead to the 67-55 victory at Penguin. While the win brought the Lightning back to an even ledger, the fifth-place team's finals hopes have evaporated. An admirable effort from a depleted men's Lightning team was not enough to overcome a mammoth performance from the undefeated Penguin team. Moses Van Den Berg (22 pts) Thomas Foster (18 pts) and Hayden Zasadny (15 pts) showed some optimism for the one-win Lightning, but the Blues cruised to a 139-73 win. The Blues showed no mercy with team stars Jacob Richards (32 pts) Ryley Haywood (31 pts) and Fraser Eaton (31 pts) putting on a clinic against the Lightning.
