A man has been charged after allegedly using a chainsaw to cut a fuel hose at a general store in the state's South.

Police responded to reports concerning the Middleton General Store on the Channel Highway about 11pm on Thursday night.
Here, a 53-year-old man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with unlawfully possessing a dangerous article in a public place and injure property.
The man has been bailed and is due to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
No one was injured and the parties were known to each other, police say.
It's the second police incident involving the use of a chainsaw in Middleton this week.
