The 27-year-old scored 112 off 148 balls to boost the Lions to 8-242 in their 110-run win over Ulverstone, scoring their first one-day century since 2010-11 and his second career ton.
"It was a pretty nice pitch, good conditions to bat on so fortunately I was able to spend a bit of time at the crease and get myself in and have a few partnerships with a few in the top order and ended up getting a few on my end," he said.
"There's a lot of history at the Launceston Cricket Club so to make a one-day hundred and be the first one to do that for a while, I'm very privileged and happy to be able to do that."
MORE CRICKET
The Scottsdale, Ringarooma and Bridport school teacher has recovered well from an opening-round duck against Riverside to be leading the Cricket North runs tally.
He notched 41 against South Launceston and 29 against Latrobe, bringing his yearly total to 182 - six runs above the Knights' Nathan Philip.
"Pre-season was actually quite horrible, I was hitting the ball quite badly, I wasn't in good form at all and I was actually struggling for most of the season to hit the ball.
"So I was a bit surprised with my start to the season but I feel like I'm going quite well now, seeing the ball well and feel like I'm going ok."
It's not just Lynch who is going well with the Lions sitting on top of the Greater Northern Cup table, seven points clear of the Blues who they grabbed a double-bonus-point win against earlier this year.
"The camaraderie at the moment is huge and massive for us and how we are going. It's been a good start to the year for us and we hope to keep building that momentum this week against Burnie.
"We played a really close game against them last year which we managed to get the win, so we are looking forward to the challenge and we think it is going to be a challenging game."
Other strong performers in round five included Ramesh Sundra (63 and 2-13), Chathura Athukorala (36 and 5-29) and Philip (78).
