But first, organisers need exhibitors.
The family friendly event will be held at Launceston Silverdome on November 20, 2021, aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
It was scheduled to take place this month, but was postponed due to COVID-19.
With all proceeds going towards Brightside Farm Sanctuary, event coordinator Lucy Millwood said it was set to be a fun event, for an important cause.
"There is a first for everything. I am not really sure why we haven't seen a pet expo in Tasmania before, but we're excited to be making it happen," she said.
"Our pets have helped get us through the lockdown, so it's just a way to help celebrate them and the happiness they bring to our lives."
Among the exhibitors already signed up is Yours in Paws dog daycare and training owner Jill Dawson, who said the value of pets play had been heightened throughout the pandemic.
"During lockdown, a lot of people went and got a dog," she said.
"They become an important part of the family. We've seen a huge influx across the board - training, grooming, day care."
