While the amount of five-wicket hauls taken on a weekend regularly outnumber the hundreds, the batsmen got their way this time with six centuries - including two doubles in the same game - made across CTPL, NTCA and TCL competition.
Despite an abundance of four-wicket spells, only one five-wicket haul was taken as Westbury first-grade opener Chathura Athukorala took the first five of their contest against Devonport to finish with figures of 5-29 off 6.4 overs before pulling up sore.
CRICKET TASMANIA PREMIER LEAGUE
The biggest Saturday stints at the crease belonged to Greater Northern Raiders pair Evan Gulbis and Brayden Stepien, who combined for a total of 449 of their side's 504 runs.
Several records were obviously broken in the process with Gulbis' 226 not out eclipsing Stepien's briefly-held Raiders record of 223.
But it was the one they broke together that was the biggest, with their partnership of 368 breaking a 125-year-old record for the largest third-wicket stand in the competition.
In doing so, they also became the fourth-biggest partnership in the competition's history.
CRICKET NORTH
Launceston opener Cam Lynch broke through for the club's first one-day century since 2010-11 with his 112 off 147 balls.
In his second first-grade century after breaking the drought with 104 against Westbury last season, Lynch hit 13 fours and three sixes as his Lions beat Ulverstone on the North-West Coast.
Westbury second-grade opener Dom Barrett made it two tons for the top-order brethren, collecting 111 not out off 133 balls in their 34-run win over South Launceston.
Putting together a 102-run stand with Jesse Digney, the hard-hitting batter is no stranger to big scores, having smacked 206 not out against Mowbray last season in Cricket North's first double ton since Launceston's Jade Selby in 2006.
TCL
As Stepien and Gulbis did their thing on the NTCA Ground, it looked like Longford's Jackson Blair and Josh Adams were going to follow suit in TCL's premier league.
While Adams didn't end up reaching three figures, the pair put on 238 with the Tigers' captain-keeper making 135 from 121 balls to start his season incredibly.
Exeter's Nathan House went seven steps further against an under-manned Cressy A-grade side, hitting 142 from 119 balls in their 185-run win.
