Fourteen rounds of competition, including five weeks grading and a shortened finals series, involved more than 172 teams from 13 clubs plus countless coaches, umpires, supporters, helpers, volunteers and employees.
NTNA chairperson Alison Filgate said nearly 2000 people were involved on a weekly basis since the association was allowed to resume competition at Hoblers Bridge and the Silverdome at the beginning of July.
"We are pleased that we provided a safe, quality competition for both players and spectators to attend," she said. "Our game is growing, and we must too. We are looking to include new competitions including masters, mixed, boys, walking and social, as well as our regular junior and senior midweek plus two carnivals.
"We are still in the planning stages as to how these will look, whether they are shortened or longer rosters but we are excited about the possibilities and have more ideas to develop."
