Since the announcement of the JackJumpers moniker on October 1, 2000 foundation members have pledged their support for the side.
In an open letter those who have signed on, JackJumpers chief executive Simon Brookhouse thanked the supporters, saying the side is one Tasmanians can call their own.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
"We don't take your support for granted and we are determined to build the great club that Tasmania deserves," he said.
"We want to provide world-class entertainment and become an integral part of this community.
"We want basketball to become the number one sport in Tasmania and inspire young boys and girls across the state to become future Boomers and Opals."
We are determined to build the great club that Tasmania deserves.
- Simon Brookhouse
With the likes of Matthew Dellavedova linked to the side, Brookhouse wrote that several exciting announcements will come with the next few months - including a head coach.
