Mr Folder said Costa had taken steps to ensure it didn't happen again.
"We have implemented a number of checks and balances since that time, a lot more auditing and accommodation checks."
He said the company had supported the Latrobe Council's action in evicting the workers.
"We are working very closely with all the local councils and the federal government and labour providers to make sure those standards are met."

Primary Industries Minister Guy Barnett said seasonal worker accommodation standards were a federal government matter.
"As a state government, we work with industry to make sure the standards are high and maintained. The Premier has made it clear that safety in our workplaces is a top priority, and will remain so."
