All Tasmanian tournaments since March have been played under the guidelines, which have been warmly welcomed by Tennis World Launceston's league and competitions coordinator Joseph Strickland.
"We had great support from players and families who travelled from around the state to participate in the Bell Bay junior championships, which was just one of a number of recent UTR events in the state," he told Tennis Tasmania.
"The main motivation for Tennis World creating these events is to provide an opportunity for players to boost their UTR ratings and get some match practice in ahead of summer; the demand is certainly there, especially in the junior space."
Age groups will be 13 and 16-and-under with an entry fee of $25.
