This week's newsletter highlights one of the biggest buzz topics of the week: borders reopening and flights commencing. I fully admit I became relaxed and complacent in our little bubble of safety so hearing the borders were once again open was a bit of a scary thought to me. The Examiner will bring you more on borders and travel during the next few weeks.
Over the past week, the government also announced changes to event restrictions which you can find here.
However, some events had already been cancelled or postponed due to not knowing whether they would be able to safely proceed. Did the announcement come too late for the summer events season?
This issue of the newsletter also includes how you can celebrate on Melbourne Cup Day, Stoney Rise opening up their cellar door, how you can enter an event that will help your heart health, and how you can work to build your literacy and numeracy skills.
If you want to get in touch with me in regards to an arts/what's on story please send an email to dana.anderson@examiner.com.au or call 0419 813 457.
Enjoy the end of the week and have a spooky Halloween,
Dana
