About 8.30pm on Wednesday, emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle crash on South Arm Road near Lauderdale.
An 83-year-old woman was driving north-bound on the road when it crashed into a south-bound vehicle driven by a man.

The crash occurred on the section of South Arm Road between Lauderdale and the intersection with Forest Hill Road, Sandford.
Tasmania Police closed the highway for five hours after the incident.
Sadly, the woman died at the scene, but the injured man was conveyed by Ambulance Tasmania to hospital. He was conscious at the time, police said.
Tasmania Police is investigating the cause of the crash and seek help of the public.
Anyone who was in the vicinity of the crash, or in the area immediately prior who may have witnessed the vehicles in Lauderdale of Sandford are asked to contact police on 131 444.
