Harcourts Launceston's Conall Cassidy beat out five other realtors from around the state to take home first place.
The 20-year-old has been an agent for 18 months but the competition format is not new to him.
As he said he got into real estate through an auction competition at his high school that REIT ran.
"I did that competition and ended up going to New Zealand and representing Tassie in the school's auction competition. And then earlier this year I did the Harcourts' national competition," he said.

"It's sort of like what an auction would be in real life, just scripted, so you've got to try and get the bids from the crowd and navigate a few different scenarios.
"It's very theatrical, sometimes you have bidders storm out or very, very ridiculous questions about things that wouldn't ever come up in real life, that's sort of how they try to set the contenders apart."
The novice competition is only open to REIT members who have not competed in the senior auctioneering competition. The purpose is to educate and train novice auctioneers in the craft.
Mr Cassidy said in some ways the auctioneer competitions were more nerve wracking than real ones, as the crowd was made up of people from the industry.
"It is always a little a little nerve wracking, but usually once you get through the first little bit and crack the first joke, if that comes off well then you sort of settle into it," he said.
"There's normally also two questions and you never know what the questions are going to be about. Today they were about the legalities of boundary lines and about getting measurements and things done for building prior to settlement."
